April 2014 Update
Wow, what a month! Both myself and my wife had birthdays to celebrate, and what did I get for my birthday…a daughter! She arrived safe and well, and my wife did a sterling job. As you can imagine, it has been quite an expensive month, and has also been extremely busy, with various celebrations and activities (including Easter). It’s going to be a hectic few months financially too, and my wife’s maternity pay, and increased living costs are going to mean some careful attention is going to be applied to our finances.
Let’s get down to the figures. At the end of March, my debt stood at £18,703.84. After my April payments, my total debt will be £18,436.84. That means that I have reduced my debt by a further £267.
So, what will April bring? Apart from some paternity leave (not from the blog) and lots and lots of family time, there is also our four year wedding anniversary. It’s going to be low key this year, given the new addition to the family, so we’ll probably settle for a takeaway and a bottle of wine, with a film. Here I am banging on, how are you all getting on?
