December 2011 Update
Firstly, an apology. I have been away for too long, and for this I am sorry. Anyway, I am back and with news! There has been a good reason for my sloth like productivity in recent times. I have taken a piece of my own advice and applied for a job that comes with a pay cut! The good news is that it is a job that I’ve been waiting for, and one that I’ve not really been in a position to apply for in the past. The even better news is that I got the job – yay me! Even though it means a pay cut, it will mean I will be happier at work, so it’s a good move methinks. Anyway, the upshot of all this is that I have been using every spare minute to prepare for the interview. But now that is done, I am back!
So, let’s get down to the figures. After November payments my total debt stood at £23,375.77. Now, after December repayments, the total is £23.829.44. That means my debt has increased by £453.67. Disappointing. You might be wondering what happened. Well, unfortunately I have had to use my credit card for a number of car related issues recently, which has led to an increase in my debt. Still, setbacks are part of the journey, and I still feel pleased that during 2011 I have reduced my total personal debt by an impressive £1,994.32. All steps in the right direction – I hope you’ve all had a successful debt reducing year!
