June 2015 Update
May felt longer than it should have. For some reason, I really started to run out of money towards the end of the month, and it was touch and go but I did make it to the end of the month without going completely broke! I did get some good news. After a five year civil service pay freeze, finally we have some more cash, huzzah! This money will help things feel more comfortable, as well as help us to repay debts more quickly than we have been able to up to this point. Mrs MoneySuperstar also had some good news, and is on the cusp of an exciting (and much better paid) new career. Some more work is needed, but she is on the way to a more fulfilling life, and one that means we might more quickly be able to buy a house.
Anyway, enough of my babbling. Let’s get down to the figures. At the end of May, my debt stood at £14,418.46. After my June payments, my total debt will be £14,223.64. That means I’ve paid off a total of £194.82. Not such a big reduction this month, but all being well, I should be under £14,000 next month.
June is not a particularly exciting month. I shall be carrying on with my money saving challenge – up to £253 now. How are you all getting on? Let us know about your success stories…
