PPI Diary – Day 2 – The Decision
So I had a decision to make. The packs had arrived in the post, and I had my first sign of what information was wanted from me. I was surprised to see that it was a little more work than I expected, and this involved me tracking down and finding agreement numbers. There was also quite a detailed questionnaire attached to each credit agreement I wanted to challenge – I was feeling a little overwhelmed. I needed to think, so I did what I normally do when I need to think, I put the kettle on.
After weighing things up in my mind, I decided to go for it. I like the idea of having a team of solicitors fighting for me, doing all of the corresponding and messing around. I know I will have to do some work initially, but after that, I can’t see what else my involvement would be. The company promise regular updates, and there is the added bonus of Ministry of Justice protection. I know I will end up giving away 30% of any compensation I receive, but I like the fact that they will fight for as much money as possible, in order to maximise the amount they will take. I could do all of this myself of course, which would take a lot of my time; learning what to do, as well as corresponding with everyone I need to.
I’d better go and find those agreement numbers…
