100 Days to Christmas
Jingle bells, jingles bells, jingle all the way….
Okay, I’ll stop, but only because you asked so nicely. Why on Earth am I filling your screens with Christmas related nonsense I hear you ask! Well, let me explain.
Today (16th September) is exactly 100 days to Christmas! Exciting stuff eh?
Or, if you’re like me, probably more of an irritant. Don’t get me wrong, I bloody love Christmas, but in its place (i.e. December). I don’t see the need to start ramming it down people’s throats at the start of Autumn (which for the information of those in the retailing trade, is the season before the one that includes Christmas!)
If I was ever running the country, I would make it illegal for shops to sell any Christmas related, or use the C word before around the middle of November. If you can’t get organised for Christmas in those six weeks, then you clearly aren’t that bothered anyway!
Aside from my above rant, I also wanted to highlight this date, as if you were to put one pound aside every day from now on, you would clearly have £100 for the big day. Christmas is expensive, and people often don’t prepare for it. I save all year, but then I would!
So, for you out there yet to make a start, get a Christmas box up together. Your future self will thank you.
Ho, ho, bloody ho!
