O2 Broadband Customers Beware: Price Increases on the way
If you’re reading this, it’s likely that you are using the internet. Based on this rather obvious conclusion, it’s also probably fair to say that some of you are using a broadband service from O2. Now down to why this may matter to you. If you are a current O2 customer, or planning to begin using their service, you need to be aware that they are going to be increasing their prices from April 2011, and that they will be increasing by up to £50 a year. This will affect current, as well as new customers.
It’s not all bad news though. If you are unhappy with this price increase, than you can leave the company even though you might still be within a contract period. If you are an O2 customer, than check to see if it’s worth your while switching to cut costs and save money. Of course when you do this you will need to ensure that you can get a similar internet speed from any new potential provider.
Now there is some more bad news I’m afraid. O2 is not alone in increasing prices. Virgin Media will increase the price of one of their seven available packages in April 2011. However, customers of BT, Orange, Sky and Talk Talk can breathe easy for the time being, as these companies do not have any current plans to raise the prices of their broadband packages.
